As the Director of Canadian Operations, you are entrusted with key responsibilities within the company. In this role, you actively contribute to the organization’s growth and ensure the maintenance of our expertise by developing methods dedicated to the improvement and development of our services. More specifically, your mandate is to ensure the efficient and safe management of operations across Canada, while guaranteeing the continuous delivery of quality high-quality products.

The Director of Canadian Operations ensures the smooth operation of all our collection, accumulation, and recycling sites across the country. Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring compliance with the strictest environmental standards;
- Implementing company guidelines to establish a healthy, safe, motivating, and respectful work environment for employees;
- Actively participating in actions related to the development and profitability of the company;
- Managing, guiding, and leading an operations team consisting of specialists in collection and valorization;
- Analyzing data provided by systems. Using artificial intelligence to take necessary measures for the improvement of collection and valorization;
- Coordinating logistical activities with various stakeholders to maximize assets and minimize costs;
- Developing, managing, and monitoring a set of key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Supporting and equipping your team to facilitate decision-making in their work, then communicating process, policy, procedure, and method improvements to employees;
- Working on various company projects and proposing projects deemed necessary for the improvement of our activities and services;
- Participating in the planning and development of company strategic orientations and projects.”
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field: priority is given to candidates holding degrees in chemical engineering or chemistry;
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in management, leadership, and team building in an operational environment;
- Relevant experience in managing and promoting a safe workplace, reflecting a commitment to best practices in safety and environmental standards;
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulations, standards, and laws related to the management of hazardous waste and the environment (including but not limited to: TDG, WHMIS, provincial and federal environmental quality laws).
Specific Working Conditions:
Travel:
- Willingness to travel within Canada and outside of Canada, up to 25% of the time;
- Holding a valid passport and driver’s license are prerequisites;
- The individual must essentially be able to travel outside of Canada, as the position involves the future development of our international activities;
Emergency Response:
- Availability outside of regular working hours to respond quickly to emergencies;
- The individual commits to remaining available and providing prompt and effective responses during unforeseen situations.”
