Privacy policy

RPM Environnement Ltée (hereinafter “RPM Eco”) places great importance on respecting individuals’ privacy and protecting their personal information. That is why RPM Eco has implemented a personal information management program.

COLLECTION

As part of its operations and activities, RPM Eco collects the following personal information directly from the individuals concerned:

  • Personal information related to hiring and recruitment, including contact details, resumes, diplomas, and other background and experience information.
  • Personal information related and necessary to employment, including contact information, identification details, banking information, social insurance number, and some family information.

This information is collected directly from the individual in person.

In addition, RPM Eco collects certain data from its website or online platforms, which is automatically generated by the browser and transmitted via technological means, including:

  • Browsing data and other information accessible from cookies.

Cookies are generated by the browser and placed on the user’s electronic device to collect useful and necessary browsing data. The cookie function can be disabled at any time in the browser settings or on the device used.

USE

RPM Eco uses personal information only for the purposes indicated at the time of collection or in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Communicating with employees and fulfilling employer obligations, such as payroll and benefit program management.
  • Assessing applications for job vacancies and applying internal policies.

DISCLOSURE AND SHARING

RPM Eco may disclose certain personal information in its possession for the following reasons and to the following third parties:

  • Human resource service providers, such as insurers, benefits plan administrators, and external HR consultants, to fulfill employment obligations and enroll individuals in various programs.
  • For the general management of human resources and for the management of workplace accidents or occupational illnesses.
  • Web service providers;

DISCLOSURE OUTSIDE QUEBEC

RPM Eco uses service providers, including data storage providers, located outside the province of Quebec. As such, personal information may be transferred and disclosed to entities located outside the province.

However, RPM Eco ensures that all personal information transferred abroad is sent to jurisdictions with similar legal privacy frameworks or is otherwise adequately protected through technical, organizational, contractual, or other appropriate legal means.

RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary for its use and the purposes stated in this Policy, after which it will be destroyed.

As mentioned above, personal information held by RPM Eco may be stored outside Quebec. RPM Eco ensures that all such information is adequately protected by the measures described.

Security Measures

Although no method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, RPM Eco implements appropriate and necessary safeguards to ensure the confidentiality of personal information, in accordance with recognized principles.

Personal information is accessible only to authorized staff members in the course of their duties, following a well-established internal policy.

RIGHTS

PERSON IN CHARGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION

RPM Eco’s management has delegated responsibility for personal information management to a designated “officer.” This person is responsible for implementing and approving the protection program, policies, and measures, ensuring compliance and effectiveness, and assisting in handling requests and complaints.
